Construction
Capabilities
Douglas Development has experienced in-house
construction teams, comprised of masonary, carpentry, drywall, electrical,
and demolition experts that are skilled at the art of historic
preservation. In the redevelopment of historic mixed-use
buildings, our construction teams utilize as many original
materials as possible. In addition to our internal teams,
we work with a core group of subcontractors on each project,
thereby obtaining the best possible pricing and ensuring a
consistently high standard of quality.
Currently, Douglas Developement is renovating the former Woodward
and Lothrop Department Store, commonly referred to as the
Woodies Building.
This three year project and multi-million dollar renovation
is being leased to the clothing retail giant H&M in 28,000
square feet of retail space. Floors 3-10 will be Class A Office
Space, with U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as
the first signed office tenant in the building.

Capabilities
In the area of finance, Douglas Development has earned a considerable
stature within the area banking community and has developed
close working relationships with most area and regional lending
institutions. Over the past 2 years, Douglas Developement
has successfully financed over $500 million in transactions.
