 Over
the past several years, Douglas Development has earned significant
recognition for excellence in mixed-use development. In 1998,
Douglas Development was selected by the General Services Administration
(GSA) for the acquisition, renovation, and redevelopment of
the 800 F Street Historic
Row properties in Washington, DC. After an extensive
competitive bid process, Douglas Development was chosen over
many other developers with national reputations. GSA’s
selection criteria included development experience, past performance,
overall development concept, financial feasibility, commitment
to historic preservation, and overall best value to the government.
The project has since received the “Retail Deal of the
Year 2002” from Washington Business Journal as well
as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Catalyst Award
(November 2002) for the popular International Spy Museum,
